Load Of The Dance will present two performances at Sala Palatului


Lord of the Dance is an Irish musical and dance production - they will present two performances at Sala Palatului in the Romanian capital city on November 5.

According to the organizers that these two performances takes place in the capital city are part of the Lord of the Dance tour in Romania - the first performance will start at 16:00 hours, while the second at 20:00 hours.

Lord of the Dance was created choreographed, and produced by Irish-American dancer Michael Flatley, who also took a starring role.

The Cliffs of Moher will perform two night in Lord of the Dance at the Edge of the World

The Cliffs of Moher will perform two night of top class Irish entertainment in Lord of the Dance at the Edge of the World in September.

The events held at 1st and 2nd September and Ireland's most iconic and beautiful places in one of them will be like first.

Lord of the Dance show will feature Michael Flatley, the Kilfenora Céilí Band and Finbar Fury.

Organisers Ireland, Britain, America and further afield are expecting 5,000 people every between €8-10m to local economy Syria to participate.

Commenting on the event, Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring TD, said: “This sounds like a unique event in one of the world’s most spectacular places and I wish the organisers well.

“Tourism remains a priority for Government and hopefully events such as this will allow Irish tourism to secure and build on the recovery in our markets and help us reach our target of a 4% growth in visitor numbers this year.”

Lord Of The Dance hits movie theaters in 3D

"Lord Of The Dance" is turn and in movie theaters, and...in 3D.

Lead star Michael Flatley said in an interview for CBSNews.com, "3D is fantastic...it's like being at the show but in some ways, a lot better".

But Flatley disease once thought that a secret from her strength will forever away.

Flatley told us, "Back in 2006, I had a pretty serious illness. And I can promise you, when I was lying flat on my back, the last thing on my mind was, 'Would I dance again,' So, this is a dream come true."

And, at the age of 52, Flatley is still going strong until half the dancers with age.

The dancing legend revealed"Over 90% of my dancers retire before they're 25. We have a handful who have made it to 30. They call them 'Grandpas.' Can you imagine what they call me?"

And what's his advice for all those Elaine Beneses out there? He joked, "I can't dance either mate, I've been fooling them all these years".

Flatley ready to see the show say they do not often those who enjoy it most are. So if you think you 3D fans will not dance Lord, Flatley says that, "Anything is possible."

Frankfort’s Kerrigan is first lady of ‘Lord of the Dance’

Kerrigan said she made the right choice because she is step-dancing to her heart’s content in Michael Flatley’s “Lord of the Dance.”

The show will be staged twice on Feb. 26 at the Rosemont Theatre.

“As a gymnast, you’re always training for the Olympics, and it’s very competitive,” Kerrigan said. “You need an incredible commitment. You also need the same kind of day-and-night, all-consuming focus for Irish dancing.

“My father’s family immigrated from Ireland, and when I realized I would be dancing as my ancestors did, I couldn’t help but choose Irish dancing.”

'Lord of the Dance' brings pinnacle of Irish dance to Asheville


Dancer Maggie Revis says that Irish dancers who have finished the competitive circuit, the pinnacle of achievement is joining “Lord of the Dance” or another Michael Flatley production.

“The people that are on stage are the best of the best,” she says. “A spot in this show is extremely coveted. It is probably biggest cast of the most talented Irish step dancers.”

The 2004 North American champion of Irish step dancing, Revis is part of the “Lord of the Dance” troupe coming to Asheville at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium.

Since Flatley's creation of the Irish dancing extravaganza in the 1990s, more than 100 million people worldwide have seen the show, including its four-year run in Las Vegas.

Flatley returns in 'Lord of the Dance'

"Lord of the Dance" has happy feet these days — with good reason.

The dance show, started by "Riverdance" alumnus Michael Flatley, turns 15 this year boasting statistics unheard of in the dance world: performances in nearly 70 countries witnessed by 100 million people, with gross box office receipts of more than $1 billion. And now the celebration is coming to the big screen.

"Lord of the Dance in 3D," premieres, appropriately enough, on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, in theaters worldwide. Directed by Marcus Viner and commemorating Flatley's return to the stage in 2010 for European performances, the film "creates an experience as if the audience is right with me on stage," Flatley says. "I have poured my soul into ('Lord of the Dance'), and I believe this movie has captured the raw energy and spirit of the show."

'Lord of the Dance' comes to MAC


Traditional Irish dances began with the druids, then evolved over thousands of years through the influence of other cultures. But Irish footwork didn’t become an international sensation capable of selling out shows in more than 65 countries until Michael Flatley’s “Lord of the Dance” hit stages.

Perhaps the most famous dance extravaganza of recent memory, the story of love and war — told through dance — is based on Irish folklore and set against a backdrop of traditional and modern Celtic music.

He encourage, "You have the best seat in the house"

"You're literally right there. You can almost touch the people!"

But be careful they don't kick you in the head with their glad feet.

"3D was built for us and we were built for 3D," Flatley went on.
